Welcome to the end of the first trilogy of the episodes!
I decided to write out blogs every end of a trilogy to just give an overview of the matter.
So the past 3 episodes on the Better You Podcast are : Gratitude, Learning and Creativity.
Let me just mention how cool I think the one word titles are.
One common denominator in all of these is that they all require a sense of mindset change.
To embrace a new way of thinking . In order to apply any of these fundamental principles in your life, you need NOT have a fixed mindset.
Okay .
There are two types of mindsets .
Fixed mindset and growth mindset.
I feel like I’ve always known about mindsets from throughout school but when I first joined @alx is when I got to understand the actual research behind it.
Our minds shape the world around us quite literally. Without your brain , all other parts wouldn’t communicate and would be of no use.
A fixed mindset is a way of thinking about one's intelligence and abilities, where they view them as innate and unchangeable
While a Growth mindset is believe their talents can be developed through hard work, good strategies, and input
Of course the winner of this mindset battle is the growth mindset. So in applying everything you learn or listen to in The Better You Podcast or anywhere else, remember to have a growth mindset.
Don’t say you can’t draw . Say you can’t draw yet.
Don’t say you can’t understand, instead adopt a growth mindset and use yet.
There is so much power in YET .
In fact there’s a whole song by Janelle Monae about the power of yet.
Adopt the power of yet and see how much better your view the world , especially those challenging seemingly impossible things to do.
Get out there and live your best life.
